Graham Jackson

Partner

Leads the department dealing with family law, covering matters arising from divorce or separation, and those involving children.  He is a past chairman of "Friends of the Lake District" and was for many years a member of the Lake District Special Planning Board.

Graham also gives help and advice concerning most criminal matters, from accompanying you to the Police Station for interviews, to representing you at Court. He is a member of the Defence Solicitor Panel

Jim Going

Partner

Deals with conveyancing and leases, and also conducts matters relating to wills, probate and powers of attorney. Jim has for over 15 years been a part time chairman for the Residential Property Tribunal Service and the secretary and principal legal adviser for the local grant giving charity Ulverston Town Lands. He is also a director of the Ulverston Auction Mart PLC.

Jeremy Tennyson

Jeremy is a litigation solicitor and a Partner at Hart Jackson & Sons.

After working for several years in the insurance industry Jeremy joined Hart Jackson & Sons in 1999 and is head of our Civil Litigation department, dealing with all types of civil litigation including personal injury, land disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, and contract disputes. He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and his interests include playing the guitar and song writing.

Sharon Clarke

Partner

Sharon qualified as a solicitor in 1979 and specialises in residential and commercial sales and purchases for both individuals and developers. She particularly enjoys acting for first time buyers who often need more reassurance and help than experienced house buyers.

She also enjoys acting for developers. "It is very rewarding to take a project through from the initial purchase of the land to the construction and then sale of the houses of flats. It is a real mixture of practical and legal thinking".

Sharon also deals with business and residential leases both short and long term, and for both Landlords and Tenants.

Sharon is a Civilian Instructor with the Cumbria Army Cadet Force and has recently mastered the difficult art of playing the clarinet whilst marching over cobbles wearing a Pith Helmet! She also enjoys yoga and learning Spanish.

Naomi Tarr

Solicitor

Naomi works in our Probate, Wills and Conveyancing departments after training with the firm and qualifying as a solicitor in 2008. Naomi is a student member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is currently studying for the STEP Diploma for England and Wales (Trusts and Estates). Her interests include singing in a local choir and opera group and playing netball.

Alana Leonard

Solicitor

Alana qualified with the firm in 2010 and works in our Civil Litigation department, dealing with all types of civil litigation including personal injury, land disputes, debt collection, landlord and tenant disputes, and contract disputes.

Alana has a black belt in karate and has competed in the sport at international level. She has won many national and international titles, her most notable being World Funakoshi Karate Champion, English Champion and British University Karate Champion.

Lynne Kellett

Trainee Solicitor

Lynne joined the firm in November 2011 as a trainee solicitor and will be assisting in most of Hart Jackson and Son’s departments over her two year training period.  Lynne has a background in employment law, having worked for a high profile legal firm in New York and within the human resource departments of top London financial institutions.   In her spare time Lynne enjoys baking, riding and is an avid skier.
